AMF Cocktail

A sour start with an acidic style finish, the AMF cocktail (Adio’s Mother F–cker) has lots of the Long Island Ice Tea qualities intermingled with the Electric Lemonade but may stand alone as its own creation. Lots of alcohols makeup this beverage and too many may be unwise–drink wisely and slowly!

Liquid Draino Cocktail

Big time blueberry, that’s today’s cocktail. A drink with more blueberry schnapps than should be legal! The Liquid Draino Cocktail isn’t overly-potent (as the name suggests) but does contain a big blast of blueberry with hints of rum and tequila for style. For those using clear blueberry schnapps, this cocktail may look like water. You may try a reposado tequila or gold rum to change that up a bit.

ABV 33: Añejo Rum Tasting/Review

Please excuse the red-tint to the video, I have no idea how that happened but “it is what it is” and the next one will hopefully be less …. red.

We’re tasting some old aged rum, añejo if you will or “ron añejo,” from many different areas of the islands it seems. We’ve got Brugal, Matusalem, Pampero, Don Q Grand Añejo and Havana Club.

Graveyard Cocktail Recipe

Some Fridays we just like to get stupid, we’re getting stupid today. The Graveyard Cocktail has more ingredients than it needs for the purpose but it’s just not a crazy episode unless we fill the table with spirits. From vodka, gin, tequila, scotch, bourbon, triple sec, beers, you name it this cocktail will exercise the [...]

Texas Tea Recipe

We’re adopting a southern recipe this week: the Texas Tea. Okay, the origins probably do not lie in the area of Texas as this is yet another “tea” style recipe that no doubt branched off of the Long Island Iced Tea. The big difference in this cocktail is the inclusion of Bourbon as a spirit. [...]

Green Eyes Cocktail Recipe

Midori makes a return today (but not all week) for the Green Eyes Cocktail. This cocktail brings more of a sour bite than we typically seem to be making (not on purpose). The taste is deliciously sour, it won’t tear your face off with sours but it will nip at your tender cheek loins. Great [...]

Tokyo Tea Recipe

We’re busting out a crazy recipe for our first recipe of the week: Tokyo Tea. This cocktail has a bunch of different spirits, much like the Long Island Ice Tea, but with midori. The midori brings a good deal of sweetness to a cocktail that usually has very little. Show Links: Get The Recipe Devotion [...]

Golden Apple Cocktail

More Apples! We’re excited to have Havana Club rum in the house, literally. This Cuban rum isn’t exactly something you can easily get in the United States, so substitute your favorite dark rum (Goslings!?) in its place if you cannot get this product. The Candy Apple Cocktail is tasty, fruity, juice and a worthwhile cocktail [...]

Ginger Honey Rummy

Muddled ginger, this isn’t something we’ve tried before. Initially, finding ginger at the super market was a pain in the butt, but once we found it and learned how to cut it up correctly we were able to create the Ginger Honey Rummy. This is a comical look at what you can do to create [...]

The Axe Murderer Cocktail

This is a overflow from our holiday week but it fits any time of the year as it’s a great potent little number known as the Axe Murderer. This cocktail has nice sweet flavors reflecting that of a tropical/tiki cocktail (with less rum) with a potent finish that reminds you that this cocktail has a [...]
