Kapu-Kai Swizzle, Pure 151?

The Kapu-Kai Swizzle is a cocktail utilizing Lemon Hart 151 and demerara syrup with a bit of lime. However, because of the crushed ice and swizzle, the dilution is pretty high and the rich demerara syrup keeps the cocktail from being pure rocket fuel. Molasses heavy sweetness makes this a worth cocktail contender that fits well into the tiki mold.

The Irish Wake, what makes it Irish? The only thing we can think of is the high amount of alcohol and the stereotype that Irish know how to drink (they do have a holiday named after it after all).

This drink brings some POW in its easy drinking nature yet you can just feel the alcohol content on your tongue. Perhaps it brings a little bite but it's tough to judge if it's that or a sour flavor. Considering this cocktail isn't balanced with a sour component, the alcohol may be generating the bite for you.

The Bullfrog, with Red Bull Energy Drink

Our second red bull cocktail of the week (since we had a can we might as well use all of it). The Bullfrog tries to duplicate the works of a Long Island iced tea but brings in curacao and a half can of red bull. Will it hold up with all those ingredients and no juice to balance out the sharp alcohols and energy drink?

Long Island Iced Tea Cocktail

The easy tasting flavor that has an ice tea appeal, color and lack of intense alcohol flavor. The cocktail doesn't have too much additional alcohol over many other cocktails, but it still brings a good 3 oz. in a single drink. The Long Island Iced Tea doesn't hurt a person, it's the follow up request that starts to cause the hurt.

This recipe, submitted by Søren in Denmark, a derivative of a Don Beach Comber recipe with Horror Infused Bitters. This recipe totally play's in the tiki realm quite well, with a bit of a Horror Infused Mai Tai feel but with a completely different set of ingredients.

Caribou Lou Cocktail Designed by Tech N9ne

The Caribou Lou, a cocktail we made years ago but didn't give proper credit to Tech N9ne as a viewer submitted the recipe and never gave us the source. Here it is, in all its glory. Basic, yet powerful, simple yet bright on color. This drink wasn't intended to be created by a master mixologist. But, many of the great recipe combinations that exist were regular folks making a simple cocktail that they liked.

The Pirate Sunrise uses some new grenadine we just recently got from Liber & Co and should give you a bit of a "sunrise" effect. But, being that it has Spiced Rum, it's a pirate sunrise instead!
