Imagine a strawberry daiquiri but instead of rum you get more hazelnut and strawberry–wild!
The nuances of a Monster Energy Drink or AMP with the citrus and melon balance that comes out fairly sweet in overall flavor profile. Easy drinking, reminiscent of the Midori sour with less sour. The vodka is lost within this drink.
Mild kick with orange skittle flavor that continues to get more sweet as you make it down to the midori. Overall flavor components are orange mango with a mild melon, even a bit of chewable children’s tylenol effect from the orange skittle flavor.
Sweet Summer-like feel with a lemonade lightness that’s easy drinking. A tail end finish of hpnotiq, the tropical burn flavor. Think sweet lemonade and you’re on your way
Sweet, but not as sweet as originally expected. Midori doesn’t impact the sweetness as much as it would had you used more, a good balance. Very light and pineapple driven without super sickly sweet taste
Beautiful acidity making this a great summer drink with a passion fruit sweetness, midori throughout but the passion fruit really makes this stand out; not a lot of Malibu Red shooting through.
May the forth be with you! Today, we’re busting out the Toxic Lime cocktail, this is a surprisingly tasty little sour recipe. The ingredients: 2 oz. Citrus Rum, 1 oz. Simple Syrup, 1 oz. Lime Juice, Fill with Lemon/Lime Soda, Dash of Midori, Dash of Blue Curacao
Sweet start, sour finish with an attack of melon and finish of apple and hints of lemon and vodka. Recipe: 1 oz. Midori Melon Liqueur, 1 oz. Apple Pucker, 1 oz. Citrus Vodka, Splash of Pineapple Juice.
The holidays are approaching and we need to really get some holiday cocktails posted, here is one such cocktail. This recipe brings a bit of sour, some say perhaps it’s just too much lime juice. While we appreciate new flavors, this isn’t the most delicious of cocktails because the vanilla and, perhaps, the lime are conflicting in taste a bit more than I’d have imagined.
Today we’re tasting our homemade Melon Liqueur created in our past video on How To Make Homemade Melon Liqueur. The goal was to create a Midori Melon Liqueur substitute because some folks are not able to buy Midori in their region of the world (our show is highly international.) We tried to match the color as best we could, it’s not perfect but it isn’t too bad either.
We are trying to mimic some flavors we get out of the Midori, but we’re not sure how close we can get with it. Make sure you chop your honeydew melon into cubes (no skin!) before you process it.
