It's just not good enough to do a blind tasting if we don't include vodka in our blind tasting portfolio. Today we look at three vodkas, true blind, and include Teton Glacier, Titos Vodka and St. Petersburg Vodka. Wh...
A sour cocktail that tastes like dessert and fun loving creamy oak. Of course, egg white is involved for that silky smooth mouth feel, foamy head and taking some edge off the overproof cask strength bourbon. Bad Eggs...
So, we all know Bond's thoughts on what drink is better, but because Bond is a fictional character from the mind of its creator we can only assume Ian Flemming likes his drinks shaken too, right? Well, lets push awa...
How do you test if you have a bad egg? Before you crack that egg for a fancy egg white for your whiskey sour, you may want to make sure it hasn't expired. Sure, there is an expiration on the box of eggs, but how accu...

The classic shandy isn't just beer and lemonade, it's a bit different and a bit more unique and dynamic. The classic shandy utilizes a hybrid of beer (ale) and ginger beer with an additional citrus. You can still utilize your favorite recipe, but this will make you feel like you were drinking 1800's style!

The Green Beret, a cocktail Curtis designed for a Lucid cocktail competition. If you're looking for an absinthe drink that doesn't put absinthe direct in your face constantly, perhaps this is your drink. This was the second rendition of the cocktail design that had much less absinthe contribution yet still keeps it in the drink flavor profile.

A warm cocktail for our Tuesday, this cocktail brings some sweetness from the cardamom-clove simple syrup yet keeps the apple cider profile and hides the bourbon well within this design.

A cocktail with cold tea, that's something we've not done in awhile. The Irish Poet is a Royal Rose recipe using their Rose Simple Syrup. The Irish Poet is like a poem that dances upon the tongue with subtle flavor notes, a bit of an herbal tea draw and a nice light rose finish.

The Relapse cocktail, one of the shortest cocktail episodes in years here on CMC. We created the recipe and did an entire 11-minute show and forgot to hit the 'record' button on the camera... so that was fun. This drink will have a bit of a spice to it, thanks to Bittermens Hellfire Shrub, the more you add the more heat and vinegar you'll have in your flavor profile.

While we've done the IBA version of this cocktail, it's not really anything like this recipe, that Between The Sheets recipe was more like a lemonade while this one is more herbal flavored sour with Benedictine. This build is still a bit sour much like the IBA version of Between the Sheets, but much less rum-flavored and probably a little less boozy compared to the other we have done.

The easy tasting flavor that has an ice tea appeal, color and lack of intense alcohol flavor. The cocktail doesn't have too much additional alcohol over many other cocktails, but it still brings a good 3 oz. in a single drink. The Long Island Iced Tea doesn't hurt a person, it's the follow up request that starts to cause the hurt.
