Round 3, Fight! Douglas Adams cocktail vs. the atlantis martini, we are putting aside anyones love or hate of Douglas Adams to do a full taste comparison. Two blue cocktails with completely different presentations and variation along with different taste. The only thing in common is Adam Elmegirabs Teapot Bitters.
Citrus, a little bit of face lighting vodka, a bitter orange finish (using an authentic blue curacao of course). Definitely a bit of a sweet drink, with a light palatable flavor that still has a sharp heat near the mid-palate.
Doug believes this is a definitive stale airplane coffee like flavor and, regardless, it does bring a coffee based warmth to your mouth.
The Green Lantern cocktail, it tastes like amp. Does it taste like midori? No, it tastes like AMP!!! Ha! What else does it taste like? AMP.
A pretty sweet tasting profile that may remind you of a Sara Lee cake frosting or something in that direction
The shooter, as it is, will taste like absinthe while looking closer to that of a brain hemorrhage shot, plus, you can almost chew it.
A overly garnished cocktail that brings the herbaceous flavor of Pimms No. 1 and a refreshing lemonade fruit infusion.
A bit more of a sour bite to what could traditionally be seen as more of a whiskey sour. The agave brings a bit less sweet allowing the lemon to bring a bit more domination.
A sweet flavorful donut with a hazelnut profile and just a bit of raspberry jam-like flavor.
