Today we’re taking a few moments to test out the Sipping Stones we got in for review. The purpose of Sipping Stones is to allow you to properly taste your whiskey, at a mild chill, without the impact over overdosing your alcohol in water dilution.

Mariposa brings a great orange blossom aroma and flavor with neat juniper mid-palate aroma with an overal sweet yet mild agave nectar body. The agave gives a bit of sweet honey that isn’t nearly as thick and syrup-like compared to that of the nectar.
Mixers let me, the consumer, choose what type of sugar I want to use from artificial to powder, granule or simple syrup. This gives me the power to remove high fructose corn syrup from my cocktail diet and consume just the ingredient I want–or no sugar at all.

The original Voli Lyte Vodka brings a slight sweeter nose with lime-notes and tastes much like a light-bodied grey goose with mild sweetness and almost no burning finish.

Malibu Black brings natural rum flavor, the way nature intended, with a secondary flavor of coconut. A bit more potency in the alcohol but nothing too extreme as to really be a turn off.
A lemon and bourbon-like aroma and flavor. Smooth texture but a bit over the top on potency. The lemon vanilla oak flavor reminds me more of a bourbon than a cognac. A bit steep at USD $30 for the flavor profile.
