Today we’re going to show you how to make three dots and a dash, a historic tiki cocktail designed after World War II. This cocktail was designed by Donn Beach for the GI’s coming home from war.
Three Dots and a Dash:
Don Beachcomber designed a lovely tiki tropical drink with symbolism in the garnish. Three Dots and a Dash are represented by the three maraschino cherries and a long spear of pineapple. Of course, the traditional peace sign as we know it today was really the “V” in Victory. That “V” in victory was played across to mean ‘success’ in morse code.
Those …- are memorable from a time now past but we can remember our GI’s and what they were given as tiki cocktails when they got home by making ourselves a Three Dots and a Dash cocktail recipe!
