Today we’re going to show you how to make the tokyo tea, also known as the Japanese Iced Tea. This should close out all the Long Island Iced Tea variations on the books….I hope!
The problem with long island iced tea variations is that they’re are too many long island iced tea recipe variations! The Tokyo Tea is missing one essential ingredient: sour (or acidity to be more general).
The Japanese Iced Tea / Tokyo Tea comes with plenty of spirit and no filler to balance out this cocktail recipe to something that’s not alcohol-forward and bright.
The look is awesome, thanks Midori, but this isn’t the be-all-end-all long island variation. In short, someone figured out Midori is Japanese for Green and mixed a bunch of stuff together.
The Tokyo Tea / Japanese Iced Tea
– 1⁄2 oz Vodka
– 1⁄2 oz Rum
– 1⁄2 oz Gin
– 1⁄2 oz Tequila
– 1⁄2 oz Triple sec
– 1⁄2 oz Melon liqueur
