In some ways the cucumber basil lime gimlet plays against the standard gimlet concept (spirit, sugar, citrus ) but pairs cucumber up against basil to bring a sweet yet savory like flavor combination while maintaining a gimlet appeal.

This simple vodka drink gives you access to simple ingredients: vodka along side some veggies and herbs. Heck, you could replace your vodka with gin in the Cucumber Basil Lime Gimlet and get even more herbal flavor appeal. But, for those vodka fans the Cucumber Basil Lime Gimlet allows the herbs and cucumber to shine given the subtle nature of vodka.

Lemonade makes a good filler without being too busy of a gimlet design. The Basil Lime Gimlet makes a good summer sipper or fall flavor.

Cucumber Basil Lime Gimlet
– 2 Basil Leaves
– 2 Cucumber Slices (¼” each)
– ΒΌ oz. / 10ml Lime Juice
– 1 oz. / 30ml Lemonade
– 1 Β½ oz. / 50ml Vodka

Don’t forget to muddle up the Basil Lime Gimletand have an easy vodka drink that fits spring time drinking. Also try it with gin!
