The 4th of July requires a drink such as the Red, White and Blue Shot. This shooter is set for independence day, it’s got all the colors you need to make it rad. So, let’s teach you how to make the red, white and blue shot for the 4th of July.
The 4th of July in the United States is a time we celebrate independence day with our friends and family. We remember our freedom and those that lost their lives for it. We often do this remembering with lots of cocktails, shots, themed drinks and good times.
Good times often call for cocktail recipes and shooter recipes so the Red, White & Blue shooter is for you guys to enjoy. We’ve done it once in the past but that was a long time ago, time to reboot this classy little shooter.
Here is some science for you, gravity of your spirits is usually compared to that of water. In the Red, White & Blue Shooter we use more sugary cocktail ingredients with red (Grenadine) being the most sugary so it sinks (it’s specific gravity is above 1). Anything below 1 would float on water, but since we don’t have any hard core clear / distilled spirits in this 4th of July shot we don’t have to worry about that.
In some cases you’ll find peach schnapps floats on top of the blue curacao and that’s okay. It did the first time we created this years ago, but someone must have changed a recipe because that’s not the case anymore with the red, white & blue shot recipe.
The Red,, White & Blue Shot
1 part grenadine
1 part blue curacao
1 part peach schnapps
