Forty Creek Canadian Whisky Review, we have the product and it is time to see how it tastes. Highly requested by our Canadian viewers so we could not wait to see what the product was all about. It seems to me Forty Creek isn’t as highly marketed around my area, I’m not sure about other places within the USA but I typically see Crown Royal and some Canadian Club as the primary products for the $25 range of Canadian whisky brands. There are lower shelf products, sure, but not exactly what I’m looking for when making a cocktail with canadian whisky.
That means you may need to do some hunting but sometimes the hunt gets you the reward! I also didn’t see a lot of variety above and beyond “Barrel Select”, which by the name, makes me think there are other selections to choose from but those may not be available in my area either. I’m not certain they really need a higher end (or lower end) Forty Creek alternative at this point–the product is fine as it is and at an affordable price in the region.
The perfect balance of lightly sweet and aromatic notes in the Single Barrel Forty Creek that can stand on its own as a well proportioned vanilla oak experience along with other spicy notes that do not overbear your senses. In the end, I do believe Forty Creek may just be a higher point Canadian whisky for the price-point and that the competition cannot rely on its brand name for too long. The reviews that rated it higher are probably within the correct ballpark because Forty Creek is no doubt a quality product with great tasting notes and just the right complexity for a USD $25 whisky.
