Tasting Notes: Starts out with a sweet juniper which translates then into a sour juniper with some floral notes (most likely from the Greenhook Ginsmiths gin). Creamy and smooth flavors from this little cocktail.
Time to do a bit of a dry shake to emulsify the cocktail before bringing in the ice. The Greenhook Ginsmith really plays well in this cocktail if you can find it in stores. This makes a pretty nice Easter cocktail for those that love gin. Of course, don’t forget to stick around for the outtakes. Recipe:
- 1 1/2 oz. Gin
- 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
- 3/4 oz. Lemon Juice
- 2 Dashes of Grenadine or Raspberry Liqueur

Kinda looks like a standard Gin sour?
Yeah, for a sour I’d probably do equal simple syrup and lemon juice to balance it a bit more to make the sour.
Why not using 1/2 oz of grenadine instead of simple syrup ? Or 2 dashes are enough to taste a kind od raspberry flavour ?
only because I was following the recipe
